Autobytel to provide content for Scripps' TV station Web sites

DETROIT -- Online auto shopping service and lead provider Autobytel Inc. is working with media giant E.W. Scripps Co. to provide editorial content for Scripps' TV station Web sites.

Scripps operates 19 TV stations in 13 markets. Autobytel will provide auto industry news and vehicle reviews, and will work with Scripps to develop other relevant content for local markets, Autobytel said in a statement.

Stations to receive the content are in Phoenix; Tampa and West Palm Beach, Fla.; Denver; Baltimore; Detroit; Kansas City, Mo.; Cincinnati; Cleveland; Tulsa, Okla.; San Diego and Bakersfield, Calif.; and Indianapolis.

Autobytel CEO Jeffrey Coats said in the statement: "Working with Scripps, Autobytel will be expanding the distribution of our authoritative content related to researching, buying, owning and selling a vehicle."
